Skiing and Snowboarding: Envision yourself poised on a mountaintop with blue skies, fresh powder and crisp, clean air all around you. Take a deep breath; this is pure heaven. Breckenridge Ski Area’s four interconnected peaks offer 3,398 vertical feet, 27 lifts and 2,208 acres of skiing terrain for all levels. See Ski Breckenridge page. Locals tip your Breckenridge lift ticket is good at Keystone and Arapahoe Basin.  Keystone has night skiing so you can ski multiple resorts in one day! SKI/SNOWBOARD RENTALS- Locals tip – pick up your equipment the evening before you ski – saves time in the morning. No charge if you pick up after 3pm.  It also saves time if you rent online.

Blue River Sports (600 S. Park St) is right across the street from the hotel.  They also rent pants/jackets.  Rates start from $24/day.

Breckenridge Sports has a location next to the conference meeting area.  We get a 30% discount if you book online at http://www.rentskis.com/wacv Prices after discount start around $27/day.  Walk-in discount is 15%.

Beginners – see the Breckenridge Ski & Ride School to get a combination lesson/beginner lift ticket for about $139.  Be sure to check what time your lesson starts.  Ski rentals are separate.

 

Gold Runner Coaster — Breckenridge Ski Resort is proud to bring you the Gold Runner Coaster, located at the base of Peak 8. Race down the mountain on 2,500 feet of track and speed through hairpin curves, twists, and dips. Go on an exhilarating ride while still experiencing our natural mountain scenery. The Gold Runner Coaster is truly a one-of-a-kind experience for everyone. One ride is $15; unlimited one day is $49.

Sledding — Carter Park (at the end of High street) has a free sledding hill.  Ginger has 4 sleds at the registration desk available for borrowing.  You can take the free town bus or the free hotel shuttle.

Tubing Frisco Adventure Park has tubing and a beginner terrain park. You can take the free Summit stage bus. Tubing is $25 for one hour.

 

Crosscountry Skiing: Enjoy peace and tranquility as you glide between pines and aspens. View pristine nature and perhaps catch a glimpse of the local wildlife, such as a fox or lynx. The choices are unlimited and nearby cross-country ski trails range from beginner to advanced

 

Snowmobile tours: Picture yourself with your thumb on the throttle of a sleek, new snowmobile. Visit historic sites as you negotiate turns on this thrill a minute ride in our winter playground.

 

Ice-skating: A classic winter sport! This activity is great for the entire group. Enjoy the Maggie Pond at the Village at Breckenridge Resort or the Breckenridge Ice Rink.

 

Sleigh Rides: One of the most charming ways to go through the woods is by draft-horse-drawn sleigh. Bundle up and be whisked away to a mouth-watering dinner and show.

 

Shop in Breckenridge & Silverthorne Factory Stores: Spend a day going from shop to shop while searching for great deals from great stores; Liz Claiborne, Nike, Nine West, Levi’s, Coldwater Creek, Polo Ralph Lauren, MAC, Bobbie Brown and Estee Lauder.  Locals tip — wear your ski pants while shopping – it is cold walking outside!
